Always on May 1st we invite you to the popular cheese market in Saland. Families, day trippers, curious spontaneous visitors and cheese lovers from all over Switzerland make a pilgrimage to the Tösstal on this date and are warmly welcomed.
Discover new and unknown cheeses and learn about ours natürli Cheesemakers know personally. Our producers present over 200 regional cheese specialties - more than enough to try, feast on and discover.
In addition, a varied range of entertainment ensures an eventful day: Bachteltrychler, yodel choirs, alphorn players and various games for young and old.
Admission is free. Our cheese is offered at market prices.
May 1st is a big event with food sales. There is a consistent no dogs allowed in the interiors. Thank you for your understanding.
Cheese brunch - feast on the hearty cheese buffet
The cheese brunch is a highlight of our cheese market. A rich cheese buffet awaits you with over 50 regional cheese specialties, freshly baked Buure bread, the finest cheese butter, jams, delicious yoghurts, muesli and fine coffee specialties. Feast extensively at our brunch buffet and start the day with pleasure.
Official registration for the brunch is closed. Individual spots for the brunch can still be booked spontaneously on May 1st.

Arrival at the Zurich Oberland cheese market
With public transport: With the S26 to the "Saland" station, then a 2-minute walk to the Käsemarkt. From Pfäffikon ZH with post bus line 835 to "Saland Dorf", then about 5 minutes on foot to the cheese market. Arriving by public transport is recommended.
By Car: Please use the marked car park at FBB Dillhaus (see map). A shuttle service to the cheese market is organized.
