In our dairy in Saland, we process the high-quality raw material into various dairy products with a convincing taste. The natürli Dairy products range currently includes whole milk and milk drink, cottage cheese, lowfat quark, Swiss birchermuesli and Yogurt in different flavors.

We use regional ingredients wherever possible and do not use preservatives, artificial flavorings or colorings.

Carrot roulade with natürli cream cheese

Carrot cake

Ingredients dough:

3 eggs
80 g brown cane sugar
50 g flour
20 g corn starch
1tbsp baking powder
1 pinch of cinnamon powder
1 pinch of cardamom powder
150 g carrots

Ingredients filling:

140 g natürli Cream cheese plain
2 dl cream
60 g icing sugar
1 tsp vanilla sugar

Decoration:

Marzipan carrots and chopped pistachios

Preparation:

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C fan/convection oven. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  • Grate carrots as finely as possible (weighed after grating)
  • Beat the eggs and sugar until frothy. Beat for at least 5 minutes, until the mixture is fluffy and light in color. Sift together the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, cinnamon, and cardamom. Carefully fold in the grated carrots.
  • Spread the batter onto the prepared baking sheet, approximately 1 cm thick, into a rectangle. Bake for approximately 10-15 minutes. Remove the sponge cake from the baking sheet using the baking paper, cover the baking sheet, and let it cool completely.
  • For the filling, natürli Beat the cream cheese with cream, icing sugar and vanilla sugar until stiff and fluffy.
  • Turn the sponge cake out onto a sheet of baking paper and peel off the baking paper. Spread ¾ of the filling evenly on top and roll up tightly. Transfer the remaining filling to a piping bag, decorate the roll, and refrigerate.
  • Just before serving, decorate with marzipan carrots and chopped pistachios.
